Short Answer: Yes, you can increase the hold time of the current step from the Execution Screen or from TAP Kiln Control Mobile. Here’s how…
With TAP Kiln Controllers, adjusting any parameters for the current step of your firing schedule is quick and easy. Here’s how:
From Your Controller Touchscreen
While a firing is active on your TAP Kiln Controller, your controller will be on the Execute Screen:

From your kiln controller, you’ll see an Edit Icon next to the schedule title. Click this icon. This will bring up the Edit Schedule Screen.
Here, you’ll find a table with Ramp Rate, Setpoint, and Hold Time for each step. Tap into the Hold Time number to edit this number and increase your hold time. Voila!
You can also use this function to add additional steps, adjust ramp rates, or change any parameters you need.
From TAP Kiln Control Mobile
You can also make real-time adjustments from TAP Kiln Control Mobile.
To edit your current step from TAP Kiln Control Mobile, first, select the kiln you’re currently firing from. This will pull up the Overview Screen.
Clicking the Edit Icon from here lets you adjust the Hold Time (or any other parameters) for the current step or any future steps.
This feature is completely free for all TAP II Pro users but requires a Premium Plan on TAP II (single zone).
